Parents who help out with the Scouts occasionally or who are regularly involved in activities or who wish to join youth sections during overnight activities are required to have a Working With Children Card and register with the Group Leader.  This requirement is effective immediately.

As a Group we also require that adults working with us on a regular basis be registered with the Group.

A Working With Children Card is cost free for voluntary work (i.e. working with children in scouting). The application form can be obtained and submitted at any major post office.

However when completing the form it is important that the Scout Association is nominated and correctly identified on your application.

When completing the form...

Section 11
Code  10 Volunteer
Code 42 Volunteer

Section 12
Scout Association - Victorian Branch
157 Forster Road
Mt Waverley 3149
Tel: 8543 9800

When submitting the form you will need a passport sized/quality photograph. You will also need 100 points of ID.

See example form here

When you have applied please provide a copy of your receipt and a completed Group Adult Registration form to the Group Leader.

If you already have a Working With Children Card due to your work or involvement with another organisation as an employee or as a volunteer , you must apply to the Department of Justice to have your card amended and include the Scout Association as an interested party.

The amendment form is available from the Department of Justice website.

To register with the Group, please complete the Adult Registration form and return it to the Group Leader.
