The 5th Brunswick Scout Group is a long-established and active scout group with a strong membership, an experienced group of leaders and accredited parent helpers, and close links to the local community. We draw our members from the Brunswick/Northcote area but participants are welcome from other suburbs.
The Scouting program offers opportunities for youth to have a range of outdoor experiences and practical adventures and to learn a wide range of skills while working to achieve milestones, outdoor adventure skills, special interest badges and peak awards through the Scouts Australia program. Surveys of young people who have experienced the Scouting program report an increased level of contentment and resilience created by their developing mastery of skills and activities as well as the development of personal skills such as leadership, team work, problem solving and planning.
The 5th Brunswick Scout Group offers programs for Joeys (Ages 5-8), Cubs (8-11), Scouts (11-15), Venturers (15-18) and Rovers (18-25). We value the diversity of our members, including gender, sexuality, race, religion and ability. All Scout Groups are part of Scouts Victoria which is a child safe organisation with zero-tolerance for any harm, abuse or neglect.
SCOUT HALL
The 5th Brunswick Scout Hall is located at 213A Weston St Brunswick East, within walking distance of Lygon St, Nicholson Street, and the Park St bike trail. Owned by Scouts Victoria, the 5th Brunswick Scouts Hall is equipped with 2 large halls and a well equipped kitchen and can be hired for events by the general public.
