On Saturday the 14th of May, Scouts around the world simultaneously participated in local hikes as part of the 19th annual Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT).
5th Brunswick cubs, scouts and joeys joined with other Moreland-Darebin district youth members and parents on a 6.5 km hike through the scenic You Yangs Regional Park. The distinctive granite peaks of the You Yangs rise from the flat volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong.
This event allowed Moreland Darebin scouts to take part in an activity at the same time as other Scouts internationally, promoting the idea of the Scouting kinship. Participants are awarded a JOTT badge as a recognition of having participated in this worldwide event.
Jamboree on the Trail – You Yangs
