The Victorian Cuboree is a camp for Cub Scouts, held every three years in the Dandenongs.
3700 Cub Scouts and 1700 adult volunteers came along to 9th Victorian Cuboree from October 2nd-6th, 2017 at Gilwell Park in Gembrook.
5th & 4th Brunswick joined with cubs from Australian International Academy as a part of the Moreland-Darebin pack to enjoy 5 days of fun-filled camping activities. Highlights included a mud run, live shows, Puffing Billy, badge swapping and heaps more!
Cubs had all earned their Camping Out badge before Cuboree, so with comfortable under canvas.
One of the many activities run by Scouts. Teams solved a meaningful word puzzle.After breakfast, the Cubs went to a morning ‘Rev Up’ to get them ready for their Day.Food was fantastic! Amazing variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as morning & afternoon tea and supper! All catered for by leaders and parents.The theme of Cuboree was 1001 Nights, based on the story of Aladdin. The Cubs got to explore the marketplace of Agrabah.A series of games and activities were completed without one sense or ability, exploring the experience of people living with disability.
The Cubs got wet and dirty in a series of obstacle courses, battle games and mudslides.
